Frustrated with a controller update causing skipped floors
I put new software on some elevator controllers last week, and now they keep missing floor calls. Had to spend hours going back to the old version and calming down upset building folks. It feels like the update did not get checked well with older parts. Has anyone dealt with this before?

That reminds me of a building where the old floor sensors got confused by new carpet thickness. We had phantom calls for weeks until someone finally checked the alignment. (Fun times, right?)

Honestly, we had a software patch once that made the doors close too fast. It was fine on the new cabs but the older ones would just slam shut on people. Took forever to figure out it was a timing setting that didn't play nice with the old door motors.
