Debate: do you let a batch finish or toss it when mold shows up?
Last month my kraut jar got a fuzzy white spot on top after 3 weeks in the cool corner of my kitchen in Portland, and I scooped it out and let it finish but my buddy says once any mold hits, you dump it all - who's right here?

I scooped out a fuzzy white spot on my sauerkraut last month and ate it fine.
