Honestly used to think fighting these things was a waste of time and money. Then I saw a buddy get a real settlement after a bad firing, not just his job back. That cash helped him switch careers. Your friend isn't the one who got fired.

Wait, they gave him money to NOT come back to work? That's wild. I always figured these cases just got you your old job back, which sounds awful. But a payout that lets you start over is a whole different story. Makes you rethink writing it off as a waste of time for sure.
