Can we talk about the 3-week-old science experiment I found in my fridge last night
I was digging for a snack and pulled out a Tupperware that turned out to be leftover chili from three weeks ago. It had a weird fuzzy green cap on top and smelled like old grass clippings. Has anyone else discovered something that felt like its own little ecosystem?

that reminds me of something I read about how some molds can actually be dangerous even if they look harmless, like the fuzzy kind that grows on old food. apparently the spores can cause breathing problems if you inhale them, so probably best to just toss that chili without opening it again. definitely a learning moment about checking the fridge more often though.
