inNoticed my pruning cuts got way better after I slowed down
Diana I feel you on that live oak story. I had a similar wake up call with a pecan tree down near San Antonio. I was in a hurry during a big storm cleanup and left a few stubs that looked fine at the time. Went back six months later to do a different job for the same client and saw the bark cracking around those cuts. Felt terrible having to explain to her that I'd made a mistake. That slow down lesson sticks with you after a moment like that.

inGot tired of water spots on my truck after every rain, tried a ceramic spray coating I saw at AutoZone near Phoenix last month
Casey's right that it's a band-aid but sometimes you just need a quick fix that Actually works. I did the same thing on my Tacoma after monsoon season wrecked my paint and the beading lasted almost 2 months before needing a re-spray. For $15 and 20 minutes it beats scrubbing waterspots every single weekend.

inRant: The lead mechanic at my first regional airline job told me torque wrenches are overrated
Wait, he cross-threaded a nylock nut on a control cable and still thought his method was fine?

inHit 100 lines of code for the first time and it actually worked
Oh, "The Organizer" - that's what I named mine too. It felt like I was some kind of digital Marie Kondo, but for files nobody asked for. Did yours actually work on the first try, or did it start moving things to folders you didn't even know existed? Mine had a bug where it kept tossing random .tmp files into a folder called "Important Stuff" and I still haven't cleaned that mess up. That feeling of watching it work though, nothing beats that first moment you hit run and files actually dance around.

inPicked a tarp over a tent for a 3 night trip in the Smokies...
Totally happened to my buddy Mike, @shanef34 - burnt toast and learned patience the hard way.
