My roommate yelled at me over a jar of pickled eggs

Had this guy named Dave from work over last month. He opened my fridge looking for a drink. Saw the pickled eggs in the back and just lost it. Called them a biohazard and said I was violating some unspoken fridge rule. Has anyone else had a guest totally freak out over a normal food item in your fridge?

Ngl Dave sounds like he's never had a pickled egg in his life and it shows. Those things are a delicacy, not a biohazard, tell him to relax and maybe try one instead of losing his mind over your fridge.

And I saw somewhere that pickled eggs were actually a huge thing in pubs back in the day, so Dave's just outing himself as someone with zero pub snack experience @finleyl39. His loss honestly, more tangy goodness for the rest of us.

Totally get where you're coming from. Pickled eggs are a normal fridge item, Dave needs to get a grip. I had a friend once freak out over my jar of kimchi saying it smelled like a science experiment gone wrong. Like, sorry my fermented foods aren't boring enough for you? Some people just can't handle anything outside their very narrow idea of what belongs in a fridge. Hope Dave apologizes or at least chills out.
