Why does nobody talk about how fast a group chat can destroy your reputation
I was in the school library last Tuesday around 2pm and my friend sent a screenshot of something I said in a private group chat to our whole grade's Snapchat story. She thought it was funny but it was me venting about this girl in our math class. I literally had to switch seats and eat lunch in the band room for a week because people kept staring at me. Has anyone else had a friend betray their trust like this with no warning?
Did you try talking to your friend directly about how it felt? I had something similar happen and I pulled my friend aside after class the next day and told her straight up it wasn't cool. She apologized and hasn't done it since.
Wait. She just did it with no warning? No explanation at all? That's wild. I assumed she had some reason, even a bad one. Just waking up one day and deciding to share private messages is next level. It's not even about the leak itself, it's the complete lack of respect. Like, your private life meant nothing to her in that moment. I'd be furious and confused for a long time after that.
