Found a letter my dad wrote to his brother before they stopped talking 30 years ago

I was cleaning out the attic last weekend and found this envelope tucked inside an old fishing tackle box. It was from my dad to his younger brother Paul, dated October 1994, and it just says "for Paul" on the front with no stamp. I never knew they had a falling out but apparently it was over a camper my uncle borrowed and wrecked. My dad passed away two years ago and I'm sitting here wondering if I should try to find my uncle Paul's current address and mail it to him. Has anyone ever sent a letter that was decades late?

Man I can barely remember where I put my car keys five minutes ago, let alone track down a letter from thirty years back. I once mailed a birthday card to my cousin six months late and just wrote "Happy Belated, hope you still like dinosaurs" on it. Honestly though, that letter might mean more to your uncle now than it did back then, especially with your dad gone. If nothing else, it gives him a chance to remember the good stuff before the camper thing went sideways.

You tried checking the pockets of old jackets or inside books you had back then? Sometimes stuff like that ends up tucked away in weird places you'd never think to look now.

True, sometimes the delayed stuff hits hardest.
