I was eating alone at a Bob's Diner outside Columbus when the waitress sat an older man at the booth next to mine. He ordered a cup of coffee, then quietly pulled out a photo of a woman and set it against the napkin holder while he drank. Has anyone else witnessed a small act of remembrance like that in a totally ordinary place?
