Hit exactly 1500 steps on my fitbit and realized something weird about my daily walk

I was walking my dog last Tuesday and checked my step count at the end of the block. It was exactly 1500 steps from my front door to the corner of Elm and 5th. That seemed like a specific number but then I looked up and realized that's the same distance as 10 standard city blocks. I got curious and mapped it out online turns out a mile is roughly 2000 steps for my height. So my whole morning routine is exactly 3/4 of a mile no matter what. Has anyone else noticed a weird pattern like this with their own walking habits?

Hold up, isn't 1500 steps kind of a normal distance for a city block? I feel like most people's morning walks work out to some tidy fraction of a mile just because of how blocks are laid out. It's not really some deep pattern, it's just math catching up with your usual route.

But how do you explain hitting 1500 steps even with different block sizes and routes? Is your body just naturally pacing itself to that number or is there something else going on?

Yeah I gotta disagree with "math catching up." I track my walks and 1500 steps is weirdly consistent even when I take totally different routes. Different block sizes, different parts of town, still hits that number.
