My mom’s neighbor got a nose job and now she won’t stop complaining about it
I was over at her place last Saturday fixing her sink, and this lady comes in with a bandage on her face, moaning about how she can’t breathe right after paying $4,500 for a rhinoplasty. She said the surgeon made her nostrils too small, and now she sounds like a squeaky toy when she laughs. Has anyone else had a procedure that fixed one thing but messed up something totally random?
Oh man, that sounds rough. I had a buddy who got his deviated septum fixed a few years back, and the surgery worked great for his breathing, but he ended up with a weird whistling sound whenever he snored at night. His wife said it sounded like a teakettle going off at 2 AM. Drove them both nuts until he went back and got a little tweak done. So yeah, your mileage may vary, but sometimes these things just trade one problem for another.
Oh wow, @evan_cooper73 I never even thought about the noise factor after surgery. Maybe it's just me but I wonder if the whistling thing is actually more common than docs let on?
