Paid off my smallest credit card this morning after 14 months

I had a $800 balance on a store card that I just couldn't shake. I finally sent the last payment today and immediately cut the card up. Has anyone else celebrated a tiny victory like this recently?

Cutting up the card seems extreme when you could have just kept it for emergencies.

Used to think keeping cards was smart. But seeing this changed my mind. Way too easy to use them again.
