When my new posture-correcting robot decided to interpret my slouch as a dance move

I recently bought a wearable robot that's supposed to vibrate when I slouch. During a meeting, it mistook my leaning forward for bad posture and started buzzing rhythmically, like it was playing a tune. My colleagues thought I had a novelty phone alert, and I had to explain it was a high-tech health device. Now I'm wondering if robots understand human anatomy or just have a sense of humor.

Joelmoore's hit single analogy is perfect, and it totally resonates with my own encounters with overzealous tech. My fitness tracker once mistook my aggressive dough kneading for a boxing workout, and it started counting punches. It kept buzzing with round updates while I was just trying to make bread, which definitely confused everyone in the kitchen. These devices seem to latch onto the most absurd interpretations of our movements. I'm starting to believe they have a secret mandate to entertain themselves at our expense.

Your tracker turned bread-making into a boxing match, @willow_harris. It's probably compiling a highlight reel of your kneading technique.

That buzzing rhythm was its first hit single.

Ha! Music to my ears, ironically.
