That $20 Bluetooth speaker I bought at a flea market lasted longer than my expensive one

Picked up this no-name speaker from a guy at the Columbus flea market for $20 three years ago. It still works fine, while my name-brand one from Best Buy died after 18 months. Anyone else find that the cheap stuff sometimes just keeps going?

Not exactly "cheap stuff" though - $20 three years ago is about $25 today with inflation, so you actually paid a fair price for what you got. The real difference is that flea market gear doesn't have marketing budgets built into the price tag. Sometimes the no-name brands are just built with basic parts that do the job without all the extra costs.

@the_sam hit the nail on the head. Bought a no-name brand backpack from a street vendor four years ago and it's still holding up better than my old North Face one.
