Vent: Everyone keeps buying those $30 off-brand Bluetooth earbuds from Amazon and acting surprised when the left one dies after three months.
I finally caved and grabbed a pair of those cheap Soundpeats last spring, and by June the left bud just stopped pairing no matter what I did, so why does nobody check the return window before pulling the trigger on these things?

Oh man, I feel this in my bones. I did the exact same thing with a pair of Anker's budget buds last year - thought I was being smart saving 40 bucks, and then one day the right one just started sounding like I was listening to a tin can at the bottom of a well. I tried everything short of a voodoo ritual to get them working again. The bang for your buck on those things is basically zero when you factor in the headache of having to buy a whole new pair every few months. I learned my lesson the hard way, but I still got another pair of cheap ones because apparently I'm a glutton for punishment.

Why do we keep falling for the same trick like a dog who thinks this time the ball will be made of steak? At this point I'm convinced my wallet enjoys the thrill of being disappointed.

...and I swear my buddy Mark just did this exact thing but with a pair of bass headphones on Amazon. He sees this deal, "70% off, originally $200!" so he jumps on it. They show up, they sound decent for about a week, then the left driver just starts crackling like a campfire every time there's a kick drum. He's so mad he throws them in a drawer, then last month I catch him looking at the same listing again going "maybe they fixed the issue since I bought them." Dude. You got duped by the same listing, not even a new one.
