Tyler, when you say you found a "key lead everyone missed" in a similar case, what was it exactly? Like, was it a name in a police blotter that didn't make the digital cut, or some small quote in a follow-up article that got dropped later? I'm always curious about the actual thing people find in those old archives (and how they even knew to look for it there).

Ngl, local news archives are gold, I found a key lead everyone missed in a similar case.

Exactly, they're absolute gold like Tyler said. I was digging through microfilm for a property line dispute last year and found a tiny classified ad from 1972 that showed the original plot split. Nobody had even thought to look there and it completely changed the whole argument. Those old papers have little details that just got lost over time. The internet never even scratched the surface on that one.
