Hit 100,000 miles on my rig and had zero clue until I parked

Was scrolling through my dash log last week and saw I passed 100k miles 3 states back without even noticing. For something that sounds like a huge deal, it was just another Tuesday on I-80 with a bad cup of gas station coffee. Anyone else ever miss a big milestone like that?

Lol, I rolled past 100k on my old Tacoma somewhere in Nebraska and didn't even realize it until I was fueling up later. Best tip I can give you is to just set a reminder on your phone for the next big ones, like 120k or 150k. Makes it easy to stay on top of oil changes and maintenance without having to stare at the odometer all day. Those gas station coffees are brutal though, I feel that pain.

Wait, you didn't even notice hitting 100k? I totally get that though, it's like when you're just driving and your mind wanders. Those Nebraska highways are a blur, I've been there too. The phone reminder tip is solid advice, that's the only way I keep up with my own truck's oil changes. And yeah, the gas station coffee is always a gamble, I swear they make it extra bitter just to keep you awake. Hope you got a decent cup at least, or maybe just saved the receipt for a laugh.

Gotta disagree with the phone reminder thing. I tried that and got sick of my phone buzzing at me for stuff I could just write on a sticky note on the dash. Never missed an oil change that way and it doesn't drain my battery with notifications. Plus you can put the date right there where you'll see it every time you get in, no chance to forget. The coffee thing though, yeah, you're on your own there, I've learned to just bring a thermos from home.
