I've used standard fitted covers before. They are great for keeping dust off the paint, but if a mouse wants to get in, they will just chew right through the fabric to make a nest. Plus, if the garage temperature fluctuates and gets humid, a tight cover can sometimes hold condensation against the car.

Some folks just don't see the value in details.
