My dad's old hack for unclogging a toilet with a coat hanger vs. now just using a $12 plunger from Lowe's
Used to spend 20 minutes bending wire into a hook and scraping around, praying it'd grab whatever was stuck. Last week I just bought a proper flange plunger and cleared it in 30 seconds flat. Anyone else still holding onto weird old methods their parents swore by?

Grab a wet-dry vac if the plunger doesn't work the first time.

Hey I read somewhere that baking soda and vinegar can help break up tough clogs too.
