The inspector's comment about my attic vents changed my whole setup
He said my ridge vent line was choked off by that extra insulation I piled on, so I pulled it back 3 feet along the whole run last Saturday, and now the upstairs stays 8 degrees cooler, anyone else had a home inspector point out something that obvious?

Wait, you PULLED it back 3 feet? That's a LOT of extra heat you were trapping. But honestly, the REAL missed inspection is why nobody caught the actual hot spot right above that insulation line, that's where your roof deck is probably cooking all summer and warping the shingles slowly. That's the part that'll cost you later, not just the temp difference.
