Getting compliments on AI art I didn't paint turned a nice dinner into a cringe fest... had to explain it all.

Ugh, that is the WORST feeling. I just started saying "Thanks, I made it with an app" right away. Like, if someone said "Love that painting," I'd say "Thanks, it's a fun app filter." It shuts down the awkwardness FAST and you don't have to get into a whole tech talk over dinner. Makes it clear it's digital without making it a big thing.
