Serious question, I ran a drawing through two AI tools and got two totally different pictures of my own dog
Last month I was messing around at my kitchen table with a photo of my dog Rufus, a 60 pound lab mix, and fed the same prompt into two different AI art tools about ten minutes apart. The first one gave me a brown blobby thing with weird eyes, and the second one spat out something that looked like a wolf wearing a raccoon mask. I tried tweaking the wording five times, showing the tools the actual photo as reference, and even describing Rufus as a sweet older lab, but neither one got close to what he really looks like. My kid watched me do all this and asked why the computer thinks all dogs look the same, and honestly I did not have a good answer. Does anyone here think these tools are getting better at keeping a real subject like a specific pet, or is that just not what they are built for?
