inI finally stopped using a million tiny bowls for my mise en place.
Yeah, the quarter sheet is perfect for a single stir fry. I group my garlic, ginger, and whites of the green onion in one pile, then veggies by cook time in others. That way you're not scrambling for the next ingredient while the first one burns.

inAm I the only one who had a 20-year-old dryer drum support roller fail silently?
Yeah that acetone and ATF trick is solid, I use it on seized trailer rollers all the time. You gotta get the mix right though, about a 50/50 blend in a little squirt bottle. The key is hitting every seam and giving it a full 24 hours to creep in. Sometimes you still need a torch on the housing if the bearing race is totally welded to the shaft.

inA guy on a crew in Tacoma told me my broom finish was too aggressive for a driveway
Read an article that called it the "Goldilocks finish" for concrete. They said a light broom texture gives enough grip without trapping stuff. Makes sense for both safety and easy cleaning.

inJust spent 3 hours trying to match a 10-foot cathedral ceiling texture from a 1978 repair patch.
Cottage cheese and gravel is a perfect way to put it, @ray_williams.

inTried a different way to cut around a tricky floor vent and it backfired
My third vent patch job taught me cardboard is cheaper than pride.
