My AI art generator kept giving every dog a third eye last week
I was messing around with one of those free AI art tools to make a birthday card for my buddy. I typed in 'golden retriever fetching a stick' and it came out fine, but then I tried 'golden retriever painting a portrait' and every single dog had three eyes. I tried it like 8 times and kept getting the same buggy result. It made me wonder how these models handle weird requests and who checks if they glitch out. I know AI ethics is usually about big stuff like bias or jobs, but this felt like a small example of how unpredictable the outputs can be. Has anyone else noticed a specific weird glitch like that? What did you get?

oh man, the three-eyed dog thing is hilarious. i got that exact same glitch when i asked for a "cat wearing a beret" and it gave me one with three ears instead. just kept churning them out like it was totally normal.

Yeah I had the same thing happen with a "cat dressed like a pirate" and it gave it like five legs. I just started typing "fix the legs" over and over until it finally got it right.

Wait, three ears? Are you serious? That's somehow weirder than a third eye because at least with eyes you can imagine it being an extra sense thing, but an extra ear just makes the cat look like some kind of messed up satellite dish. I got the same thing with a "dog holding a paintbrush" and it gave the poor pup six toes on one paw. The AI just decided that was normal and kept spitting them out like "yeah, that's a perfectly fine golden retriever with mutant toes." It makes me wonder what kind of training data had a bunch of deformed animals in it to cause these glitches.
