My robot lawnmower mapped the neighbor's yard and started cutting their grass

I was automating my backyard with a new smart mower last weekend. It used AI to learn my lawn's layout but somehow included the property next door. Now it keeps trimming their perfect stripes, which is hilarious but also creepy. It made me question who's responsible when AI crosses literal boundaries. Should we have rules for these smart devices before they get too independent?

Did your neighbor even notice, or are they just enjoying the free service? Sounds like your mower's got a passive-aggressive streak, doing a better job on their stripes than yours. Maybe it's trying to send you a bill for its freelance work.

Man, my smart mower would absolutely do that. It already acts like a moody employee who half does its job on my lawn. The fact that yours is putting in extra work for the neighbors is just perfect. I guess even our tools have opinions on property values now.

I RESET the mapping and added a physical border, that kept mine in line.
