Found a trick for getting AI image generators to keep faces consistent across a whole batch

I was trying to make a set of character portraits for a small D&D campaign I'm running and every single face changed between images, even with the same seed. After about 20 tries I started pasting the exact same face crop into the image prompt field as a reference and it locked the features across all 12 portraits. Has anyone else gotten a consistent face workflow to work without needing a full model train?

@thomas_sanchez Did you try adjusting the strength of that reference image at all? I'm wondering if a lower setting might let you keep the face but not force the exact same lighting or angle.
