That moment I realized AI could write my weekly reports faster than I ever did
I used to spend every Thursday afternoon typing out project updates for my boss at the consulting firm downtown. Three months ago I finally tried feeding my bullet points into an AI tool just to see what happened. It wrote the whole thing in about 30 seconds and my boss said it was the clearest report I ever sent. Now I just tweak a couple lines before hitting send. Has anyone else had that weird moment where you feel like you cheated at your own job?

@the_max brings up a good point - do you think your boss would notice if you stopped tweaking those last few lines and just sent the AI draft as-is?

Nah, writing your own reports builds skills that AI can't replace.

Pretty sure most of those "skills" are just formatting paragraphs and pretending to be busy. If the AI can draft the boring stuff in 30 seconds, that frees people up to actually analyze the data instead of fighting with bullet points. Plenty of managers can't even tell the difference between a human report and an AI one anymore.
