TIL about a computer vision system that analyzed my kitchen clutter and suggested storage solutions. In my experience, it cut my reorganization time in half, but your mileage may vary.

That's interesting, but the time saving probably comes from the assessment phase, not the physical reorganization. A system can scan and suggest instantly, but you still have to move every item, buy any new organizers, and make final decisions. The heavy lifting, both mental and physical, remains entirely manual. Doesn't the setup and correction of the system's suggestions eat into that saved time as well? It seems more like it condensed the planning stage, which is valuable, but calling it half the total time feels optimistic.

My last organization project with a system halved the total time.

True, the planning phase is where I always fool myself into thinking I'm efficient. Like last month, I scanned my closet with an app and it suggested a perfect system, but then I spent three days debating if my socks should be sorted by color or season. Ended up buying divider boxes that didn't fit, so I had to return them and start over. The physical part? I pulled everything out and then just stared at the pile for a weekend, overwhelmed. So yeah, the system saved me maybe an hour of thinking, but cost me a week of second-guessing and manual labor. Sometimes I wonder if I'm just better off with the chaos...
