My buddy's graphic design business got killed by AI and he still won't admit it

Known this guy for like 15 years, he does logos and stuff for small shops around town. Last summer he lost 3 regular clients in one month. They all started using Canva and Midjourney instead. He keeps telling me it's just a phase but I saw his books. His income dropped from around 4k a month to maybe $800. I showed him that Adobe Firefly stuff and he got mad. I get being proud of your craft but pretending the ground isn't shifting under your feet is just gonna leave you broke. Anyone else seeing friends in denial like this?

Wait, his income dropped from $4k to $800 in a month? That's insane. I'd be losing my mind if I were him, not pretending everything is fine. He's gotta see that wave coming way before it hit him.

Losing his mind" won't pay the bills either. It's probably just a slow season.

Heard a financial guy on a podcast say most self-employed people are one bad month away from disaster, so a 80% drop like that is definitely a red flag he's been ignoring for a while.
