Overheard a guy at the laundromat in Tulsa say his boss replaced the whole night shift with a chatbot
I was folding towels last Tuesday and this guy next to me was on the phone, telling someone his warehouse job went from 12 people on nights to just 3 guys and a chat window that answers questions. He did not sound mad, just tired, and he kept saying the bot never calls in sick. I stood there with my basket and thought about how fast it happened, like nobody even got a meeting about it. My nephew works nights at a plant outside Tulsa, so now I am wondering if he should be looking around. Has anyone here seen a whole shift get swapped out like that, or is this guy just venting?
