Rant: I was crowding my air fryer basket for a year and didn't know

I always just dumped a whole bag of frozen fries in there, thinking more food equals less work. My fries came out soggy every single time. The lightbulb moment was last Tuesday when I was making a small batch for just me and spaced them out. They got so crispy I could hear them crunch. I looked it up and the manual literally says 'single layer for best results' on page 4. I felt so dumb. How many other basic things am I messing up by not reading the dang guide?

Oh man, I was totally in the same boat! I used to think crowding it just meant faster cooking (you know, more food at once). But then I tried a single layer of chicken nuggets and it was a total game-changer, like they were actually crispy instead of steamed. I guess the manual people know what they're talking about sometimes.

Yeah, I had the same stubborn thought for years. Figured it was just a suggestion to sell bigger ovens. Then my fries came out soggy one too many times and I finally listened. That single layer rule is the real deal, turns out steam is the enemy of crisp. I feel a little dumb for all the mediocre food I ate before getting it.

Wait, you seriously thought it was a trick to sell bigger ovens? I mean, I get being skeptical, but that's a whole new level. I just figured I was lazy and didn't want to do multiple batches. It never crossed my mind it was some kind of sales plot. That's kind of amazing you stuck with that idea through soggy fries for years.
