Spent $60 on a silicone liner that stank up my kitchen for a week

Picked up one of those fancy silicone air fryer liners from Amazon thinking it would make cleanup a breeze. First use with some chicken wings and the thing gave off this nasty burnt plastic smell that lingered in my apartment for days. Tried washing it three times, still stinks. Now I'm back to using parchment paper which costs like $3 for a hundred sheets. Anybody else had bad luck with those silicone inserts?

Thought those things were fine until my buddy had the exact same problem with his. Now I just stick to parchment paper too, way easier and no weird smells.

Same thing happened to me, that chemical smell wouldn't leave no matter what I did.

My buddy @shane_hayes tried one and his whole apartment smelled like a burning chemistry set for days.
