Noticed something during my last few final walkthroughs.

Folks seem to just feel better when I point out the stuff they can actually see and touch. Like walking them past a new motion sensor and letting them look over the install. It turns a scary box of wires into something that just makes sense for their home.

Honestly, do people even care about the guts? @diana_kim66's example is cool, but it seems like overkill for a walkthrough.

Totally... it turns the whole scary tech thing into just normal house stuff. I always make a point to open the garage door panel and go "see that little motor there?" Makes people stop worrying it's some magic box that'll break. It's like showing someone how their car engine works so they don't panic at every new sound. That honest look at the guts builds way more trust than any manual ever could.

You know, that point about the garage door motor is spot on for some people. But I've found if you go too deep, eyes just glaze over. It's about picking the right thing to show, not every single part. Like, pointing out the water shut-off valve matters way more than explaining the circuit board in the thermostat. So it's less about showing all the guts and more about showing the guts that give them control. That builds the real trust, when they know the one or two things they can actually handle.

Wait you open the garage door panel for people? That's wild, I've never seen anyone do that.
