Had a basement window well fill up with water after that big storm last week...

Walked down there to grab a box and stepped right into an inch of sludgy water... turned out the drain pipe was completely clogged with leaves and mud. Anyone else had to dig out their window wells after a heavy rain?

Pulled out a shovel and went full archeologist in my window well last week. Found a family of drowned earthworms and what I think used to be a frisbee down there. The drain was so packed with gunk it looked like a science experiment gone wrong. Had to scoop it all out by hand while muttering about how my house hates me.

Read somewhere that window wells basically turn into compost bins if you ignore them long enough.
