Forget the sump pump for a sec but Edmonton didn't hit -5 that morning in spring, we were closer to -10.

Last spring hit us so bad I literally wore a winter coat to the gym for like 3 weeks straight. The wind just cuts through everything no matter how many layers you put on. I remember one morning it was -5 when I left the house and then 15 degrees by noon, completely messing up my whole day's plans. Feels like you can never win with that wild temperature swing every single year. Honestly it makes me wanna move somewhere with consistent weather sometimes lol.
