My buddy's loan got denied by a computer that didn't like his address
He has a solid job and good credit history. The algorithm seemed to focus too much on his zip code and less on his actual money habits. How can we build systems that judge people by their actions, not their location?

Man, that's so unfair when the system only sees an address.

Does where you live really say more than how you live? We gotta fix that.

Check out @aaron_mitchell's point on judging books by covers. Where someone lives often just shows money, not character. How you live includes your daily actions, like how you treat neighbors or handle tough times. A nice house means nothing if the person inside ignores community needs. We gotta value real behavior over postcodes to fix this bias.

Remember that old saying about judging books by covers? What exactly counts as "how you live" that we should look at instead?
