Ran my resume through an algorithmic screener and it rejected me for having too many jobs in 5 years

I applied for a project manager role at a mid-sized tech firm in Austin last month. The company uses an AI tool that scans resumes for stability based on job tenure. I've had three jobs in five years because I kept getting laid off, not because I'm flaky. The rejection email literally said my work history showed high turnover risk. I get that companies want loyal employees, but penalizing people for economic downturns seems backwards. Has anyone else hit this wall with automated hiring tools?

Dang, that's really rough. Getting dinged for stuff that's totally out of your control feels like a slap in the face, especially when you're just trying to bounce back from layoffs. It's like the system is punishing you for being unlucky, not unreliable.

I mean "three jobs in five years" could just be three layoffs in a rough industry though.

Oh come on... if you've had three jobs in five years maybe that IS a red flag, not every layoff is the economy's fault.
