Serious question, how do you deal with social media algorithms that keep showing you the same stuff?
Honestly, I started clicking on different types of posts to train the algorithm better. Tbh, it helped my feed show more varied views from friends and family.
My YouTube feed decided I was a film critic after I watched one terrible movie review... @oscarw17, I feel your pain with those mixed feeds. I started liking cooking videos to balance it out, but now it thinks I'm a chef who hates cinema. Honestly, the algorithm's view of me is way more interesting than my actual life.
My Instagram explore page was just cat videos and political rants for MONTHS. I guess the algorithm thought I was a lonely activist with a cat obsession. So I started liking baking tutorials and travel photos to mix it up. Now it's a weird mix of kittens, protests, and croissants, which is honestly an upgrade. My feed is as confused as I am about my interests. But hey, at least it's not the same three posts on loop anymore.
