That glowing orb video from 2009 still bugs me

I tried to track down the guy who filmed that orange orb hovering over the highway near Tucson back then, and his old Photobucket account just showed a broken link. Learned that most of these old clips are gone forever unless someone saved them locally. Anybody else have a favorite piece of alien tech footage that just vanished from the internet?

Read somewhere that a lot of the early 2000s weird footage is just gone because those old video hosting sites died and nobody backed it up. Missed the boat on saving a bunch of that stuff myself.

Funny you mention that, I actually managed to snag a copy of the "UFO over Flagstaff" clip from a now-dead forum back in 2011. I emailed the guy who posted it and asked if he still had the file on his hard drive, and he sent it to me as a zip attachment. Might be worth trying to track down the original uploaders directly if you can find any old usernames or email addresses from the metadata.

Honestly I used to think that old orb footage was just a weather balloon or some weird lens flare, but then I saw this compilation of similar clips from the late 90s and early 2000s that all had the same orange glow and wobble pattern. Ngl it changed my mind because those videos were all shot on different cameras in different places, so it cant be the same glitch. Tbh the one that got away from me was the "Phoenix Lights" home video that some guy had on his GeoCities page back in 2005, totally gone now and nobody archived it.
