Appreciation post: The sky over Sedona last month was full of silent orange lights
I was camping out near Bell Rock in Sedona, Arizona, and around 2 AM I saw a line of six orange orbs moving in perfect formation without a sound. They didn't blink like planes and just faded out one by one after about 30 seconds. Has anyone else seen something like that in the desert?

Remember reading about a group of sky lanterns released for a wedding out that way. The desert air is so still, they can travel for miles in a straight line before the candles burn out, just fading away like you said. The silent orange glow and perfect lineup matches a lot of those reports exactly. It's wild how something so simple can look so strange in the middle of the night.

Funny how the desert plays tricks at night. My cousin swears he saw a single red light doing impossible turns over the Superstitions, turned out to be a drone flown by some geology students mapping rock slides. The quiet out there makes everything seem bigger and weirder than it is.

Check your local astronomy club's website next time. I saw weird lights once and found out they were testing flares from a nearby base. Knowing the real answer was way better than just wondering.
