My trip to Sedona made me rethink the whole alien thing

I went to Sedona last month for a hiking trip, and I saw these orange lights moving in weird patterns over Cathedral Rock around 2 AM. They would stop, zigzag, then shoot off way faster than any drone I've seen. There were like 7 or 8 of them, and they just vanished after 10 minutes. Anyone else seen something similar near a specific natural landmark?

You said they moved in 'weird patterns' over Cathedral Rock. How exactly did they zigzag? Like, was it sharp angles or more of a smooth curve that looked impossible? I ask because I've read about plasma balls near that area that behave weird in the magnetic field, but they usually glow orange too. Did the lights stay the same brightness the whole time or did they flicker?

Hate to be that person, but is it really that serious? Like, people see lights in the sky all the time and suddenly it's a whole investigation. Smooth curves that look impossible could just be a plane turning at the right angle or a drone with a fancy light setup. And pure white lights? I've seen plenty of those from helicopters doing tours around the rock at night. Pretty sure half the "UFO" videos on YouTube are just tourists filming their own flashlights reflecting off the canyon walls. Always find it funny how everyone jumps to plasma balls and magnetic fields before considering the most boring explanation.

Ugh the plasma ball theory is interesting (I've heard that too) but these lights didn't have any orange glow at all, they were just pure white the whole time which makes me think it's something else entirely.
