Funny you mention that bit about the eye contact. A buddy of mine from dental school used to tell a story about a patient who swore up and down he was followed home by a pack of coyotes every night for a week. The guy was dead serious, no blinking, no smile.

Swore he was abducted for 3 days" - man, that detail about him swearing on his mother's grave always got me. I remember hearing that story years ago and thinking there's no way that guy wasn't either on some serious drugs or just messing with people for attention. Three days is a long time to be gone with zero memory except some weird lights and missing time. Like, if you're going to make up a crazy story, at least stick to something that makes a little sense. The way he'd get dead serious and look you straight in the eye always creeped me out more than the actual story.
