That one fight scene I always praised I finally realized was actually kinda bad

I used to tell everyone how the final battle in that mecha show from 2017 was perfect animation, but last week I rewatched it and saw all these weird cuts and reused frames I somehow missed the first 5 times. It was like my brain just filled in the missing motion because I wanted it to be good. Has anyone else gone back to an old favorite scene and noticed stuff that totally broke the hype for you?

Nah, that show actually came out in 2016, not 2017.

Wait, aren't you guys both a little off here? I just checked and that first episode actually dropped in late 2015 for the streaming version, with the network premiere not hitting until early 2016. Pretty sure the pilot leaked a few months before the official release date too, so the timeline's a bit messier than either of you are making it lol.
