inI started learning basic Python for 30 minutes a day and it's already helping me feel less replaceable at my warehouse job.
Read somewhere that learning even a little coding makes you way harder to automate.

inFound a 1920s forge bellows in an old barn near Boise
That "soft, even heat" thing is real. My friend's grandpa used one for making old-school hinges and said you could practically feel the metal getting ready to weld.

inA chat with my client's husband changed my mind on balayage pricing
Wait, is making a whole menu for this actually needed? I get the guy had a point but sometimes clients just want a simple answer. @sage_moore37 makes it sound like a game changer, but what if people just glance at it and still think you're overcharging? Like, listing Olaplex is one thing, but does explaining hand-painting really change minds or just add more words they won't read? Feels like we're overthinking a basic question.

inUnpopular opinion: Charging $150 an hour for my web design work got me better clients than my old $50 rate ever did.
Heard the same thing from a freelance friend.

inMy uncle told me to add a cup of sugar to the mix for a driveway in Tucson
Used to be in the same boat, thought it was just a handy trick. Seeing that crumbly patch Wendy mentioned would change anyone's mind. It might buy you an hour in the sun, but you're trading long-term strength for a tiny bit of convenience. Now I just mix later in the day or keep everything shaded with damp burlap. Not worth the risk of having to redo the whole job next year.
