Unpopular opinion: A delayed train had me talking anime openings with complete strangers.
We were all waiting for hours due to a signal issue. Someone started humming the 'Cowboy Bebop' theme, and it just took off from there.

Spotted a guy with a vintage Zelda keychain on his bag while we were stuck in a long line. Just said "hey, killer keychain" and it opened the whole thing up. Turns out three of us waiting had beaten Ocarina of Time as kids. We spent twenty minutes arguing over the best dungeon instead of just standing there in silence. It really is that simple sometimes, just mentioning the nerdy thing you see.

Man, that's actually pretty cool it turned out that way. You always hear about people just staring at their phones in those situations. What does it take for strangers to actually talk anymore?
