Guy in a Prius yelled at me for 'butchering' a dying oak
I was cabling a 60-foot red oak with heavy decay in his backyard, and he came out screaming about how I was ruining the 'natural aesthetic' while the top was already half dead. Told him the tree would be on his garage in the next windstorm if I didn't remove the failed co-dominant stem, and he just walked back inside.

Oh man, people get so attached to trees they can't see are basically dead already. It's like they think you're chopping down a healthy monument instead of saving them from a 2,000 pound branch through their roof.
