It was about watching a town turn into something, and the real history of Deadwood keeps going past 1877 anyway. So a revival wouldn't be fixing a story, it would be picking up a place and seeing what changed. The movie already did that in a quiet way with Alma and Bullock and Trixie all older and worn down. I say let it rest, because the rush of season 3 is part of the charm now, like a scar you learn to like. Fighting HBO for more just gets you another two hour goodbye, and we already got one.
