Oak wilt hit 3 trees on one street in Columbus before anyone called

I read a state forestry report last week that said oak wilt spreads through root grafts between nearby oaks. One infected tree can silently kill 3 or 4 healthy ones in a single summer block. Has anyone else seen clusters like that pop up faster than the usual single-tree cases?

Saw a cluster in a neighborhood park where the city trimmed oaks during peak sap flow season, and that spread the fungus faster than any root graft. Nobody talks about how pruning schedules or storm cleanup can move this stuff block to block before the first leaves even wilt. If the trimming crews hit three trees, the real question is when they cleaned their saws between cuts.
