Got yelled at by an old lady at the grocery store for not bagging her eggs right and now I just stand there awkwardly every time
Happened at the Piggly Wiggly in Waco last Tuesday. She said I was 'flipping them like pancakes' and demanded a manager. Now I literally freeze up whenever someone hands me eggs. Does anyone else get weirdly paranoid about small stuff after one random person went off on you?

You ever just shove the egg carton in the bag sideways and let them deal with it? Works for me after some lady in Denton gave me an earful about bagging her milk wrong. @ryanm60 is onto something with that slow dramatic approach though - kill em with awkwardness, I say.

Oh man, that's brutal. You've been cursed by the Egg Lady of Waco, now you're gonna be scarred for life every time you see a carton. I swear, it's always the random one-off encounters that stick with you longer than the 99 nice customers you helped that day. My advice? Just start bagging eggs with extreme dramatic slowness (like you're defusing a bomb) and make intense eye contact with the next person. Either they'll laugh or they'll think you're having a medical event, and either way it breaks the curse.
