Had to pick between a 6-inch Orion dob and a tabletop Celestron yesterday

I went with the Orion because I figured bigger aperture means more detail, but now I'm stuck wrestling it out to my car every clear night. The tabletop would have been way easier to grab and go for last minute trips out of town. Anyone else regret going big over portable?

Honestly I kind of feel you on this one. I went through the same thing last year and grabbed a 10 inch dob thinking it was the ultimate move. Now it lives in my living room because hauling it to my car feels like a whole workout. The tabletop would have been way nicer for just tossing in the backseat and heading out, you know?

Counterpoint though @angelarivera, that bigger dob shows you way more detail once you actually get it set up...
